Right now I have three favorites that all start with the letter C: Coffee, Catia, and Costco. These all make for a very exciting first week of November.
Coffee and Catia
I love coffee, but I especially love the community of moms that have joined our informal coffee dates on the first Tuesday of the month for the past year! We started these get-togethers last fall as a chance for moms to mingle and take a quick break from the hustle to literally sit and chat over a cup of joe.
We’ve had tremendous support from local coffee shops including Starbucks on McColl, Jitterz, Luna Coffee House, Black Iron Cafe, Cafe Grande, and Moonbeans. They’re all just the best!
Our next coffee date is Tuesday, November 7th, 9-11 AM at Moonbeans Coffee on N. 10th.
Our first “date” at Moonbeans isn’t the only exciting part, though… Catia Hernandez Holm will be gracing us with her warm presence.
If you didn’t meet Catia or hear her speak at our Bloom events, this is your chance! Mom, motivational speaker, leader of The Confidence Revolution, and now a published author (whoa), Catia has tons of light and perspective to share with other moms.
If you’re not yet reading her book, The Courage to Become, we can’t recommend it enough. Open, insightful, and hilarious are just a few words we’d use to describe her personal journey of becoming a wife, mother, and confident woman.
Rio Grande Valley Moms Blog and Costco present Mom Hour, a Holiday Shopping Event just for Moms!
Have you ever wished Costco opened just a tad bit earlier so you could check your Costco shopping off your list before 10am? Especially around the holidays?! Well this is your chance! On Friday, November 10th, Costco will be opening their doors an hour early (9am) EXCLUSIVELY for Rio Grande Valley Moms Blog moms (+kids).
Mark your calendars now and plan on joining moms across the RGV at Costco in Pharr for shopping, samples, food/drink, giveaways, and more! Feel free to bring those littles along for the ride, too.
Visit from 9 to 10 AM for an exclusive shopping experience!
You do not need a membership to attend, only to shop. But everyone can partake in samplings and some great freebies! If you aren’t a member this may be a great time to check out the local store for free. The event is one hour before normal opening hours so we will have the whole store to ourselves. (Hooray!)
- If you come to the Costco Mom Shopping event and sign up at the event to become a new Costco member, Costco has a special offer*: New Executive Members will receive a $20 Costco Cash Card and a coupon voucher valued at $60, and new Gold Star and Business Members will receive a $10 Costco Cash Card.
- For existing Costco members who bring a friend to the Costco Mom Shopping event, if your friend signs up for a new Costco membership, you will receive a $10 Costco Cash Card** as a thank you.
- When an Executive Member applies for the Costco Visa credit card and gets approved, they will receive an additional $60 cash card in the mail. Ask for more information at the membership counter. We will be holding a giveaway for any current Costco member who applies for the Costco credit card.
We are so excited to host this event again, and cannot wait to see you there!
