Fall Family Day at Big Red’s Ranch (San Benito)

Our annual Fall Family Day is expanding to two days this year. This is an event designed for families to connect and have fun in a ranch and camp environment. 

$5 General Admission Activities Include: Canoes, Hay Rides, Gaga Ball, Human Foosball, Two Barnyard petting zoos, and other animals (chickens, goats, pigs, horses, turkeys, macaws, a peacock, ducks, koi fish, a dog, and some cats) Our two baby horses will be here for everyone to meet. We will also have baby chicks and possibly some baby pigs and goats by then.

Additional $5 Game Bracelets Activities (parents are encouraged to play for free): Car Bash, Bazooka Ball, Golf Cart Track, Carnival Games, Fall Craft, and more…

We will also have a variety of food offered by at least two food trucks and tents. There will be 10 booths selling a variety of interesting local products and creations.

ALL TICKETS MUST BE PRE-PURCHASED ONLINE (see our FB page) BEFORE COMING. Once we are sold out no more tickets will be sold. To help ensure safety and a positive experience we limit the number of tickets and capacity for each day.

Dia de los Muertos Community Altars at IMAS

This year’s theme for our community altars is Influential Latinos. Create an altar for someone whose work has impacted Latin-American Culture and has inspired you!

Entry Deadline: September 29, 2018
Set Up: October 16-19, 2018
Open to Public: October 20-November 3, 2018
Take Down: November 4-6, 2018
Dia de los Muertos Festival: Thursday, November 1, 2018

Guidelines
The museum will provide a 2’x 4’ table for each entry. Limited amount of tables. Please apply as soon as possible. Honorees chosen on first-come, first-serve basis. Participants have four days to set up their altar. Decorative candles are allowed, but may not be lit under any circumstances. Electric votive candles may be used. No glitter, or perishable decorations or food items. Decorations not retrieved by November 7, 2018 will be discarded by museum staff.
