Dear Moms Near and Far,

You are AMAZING!

Sometimes we don’t ourselves credit for all that we do. From waking the kids up, getting everyone ready and out of the house on time, to running around getting to every destination on time (or a little late, but who’s judging), preparing all the food, cooking, cleaning… and all that’s in between. Our lives can be pretty hectic, especially if our children are not in the best of moods. However, like everything else, we manage to get it done.

When I think of a Mom, I automatically think of a picture-perfect Mom who has everything ready to go in an orderly fashion with her kids lined up for her every command. That’s not real life, especially not mine. My son can be the sweetest living creature and ready to do as I say one day, and then the next day be the exact opposite.

I’ve learned (from personal experience!) to give Moms a break. You don’t have to be on time to every single event; you don’t have to share your snacks or food with each other; you deserve quiet time too. I’ve learned that my son’s mood will continue to be sweet or sour regardless of if we’re on time or late, sharing our food/snacks or not, or stopping to take some quiet time. As Mothers, we need to do what’s going to keep us sane.

I just wanted to take the time out to say, “Thank you to all the Moms out there — and keep being awesome!” With that being said, get in on the pictures, eat the cake, laugh like it hurts, dance like no one is watching, and have fun raising these little people who will soon be too cool for us Moms.

Being a Mom is a tough job that often doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Shout out to all the Moms out there, whether you’re single, married, widowed, divorced, step, foster, or an added support mom. You are appreciated and loved!

Love, This Mom
