Bianca R. Garza is a Rio Grande Valley native and began her career in 2005 as a registered nurse caring for the most fragile patients in a level-three NICU at McAllen Medical Center.
Her move to community health nursing was natural as she cared for fragile children in the school setting with McAllen ISD. Upon the opening of the Women’s Corner at Edinburg Regional Medical Center, her passion and caring for others came full circle as she assumed care of healthy mother-infant dyads.
She is currently in the role of International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, promoting, protecting, and encouraging women from the very beginning of their breastfeeding relationship. Most importantly, Bianca is a wife, mother of three (all breastfed) lovely children, and plans to continue encouraging birthing practices & care of infants that promote family bonding & breastfeeding.
