Every Saturday in the months of January to March. Increase your fitness and knowledge as you accompany an experienced guide looking for the many birds that inhabit our 1200-acre park.

Program fee included with park admission:
Adults: $4, Children 12 and Under: Free.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be postponed.

Affair of the Heart

35th City of Edinburg All-American City Run 10K Fun Run/Walk

Healthy Hearts 5K Fun Run and Walk

The McAllen Heart Hospital and The Heart Clinic present the Healthy Hearts 5K, a fun way to learn about heart disease prevention with someone you love!

Held the Saturday before Valentine’s Day, this non-competitive fun run and walk benefits the American Heart Association. Bring the family and join us for fun and fitness! Registration will be capped at 700, so register early. Everyone will receive a shirt and participant medal! This is not a timed event.

The event will begin and end at McAllen Heart Hospital, the Valley’s first and only hospital dedicated to cardiac care, and The Heart Clinic. This fun-filled activity will feature a pre-event heart party and health fair prior to the 5K.

7 a.m. – Health Fair and Pre-Event Heart Party
8:30 a.m. – 5K Run or Walk

Early Registration Deadline is Friday, Jan. 27 at 11:59 p.m. $20 for individuals and $35 per couple
Late Registration: $30 for individuals or $50 per couple

All ages welcome! Kids ages 5 to 12 years old are $10.
