Bloom 2016 :: Event Recap and Raves

0

Were YOU at Bloom 2016? The entire event was better than we ever imagined, thanks to our generous sponsors, knowledgable speakers, and all the fabulous moms and moms-to-be who came as our guests.

Of course, we could never have held an event of this size without our venue sponsor, Edinburg Regional Medical Center. While the event took place in one of their spacious conference rooms, our expectant mothers were also treated to a tour of The Women’s Corner, ERMC’s recently built, family-focused obstetrics department. Touring such a well-planned and beautifully designed labor & delivery floor put a lot of expectant mothers’ minds at ease.

13139217_1067200260020917_950932437616526720_nWe also had a fun step-and-repeat banner for moms to capture a few fun selfies, delicious brunch from Johnny Carino’s and refreshing mimosas from Holiday Wine & Liquor. If you were there, we hope you also scooped up some of Honey’s Cakes sweet desserts— they were almost too cute to eat. (Almost…)

We had SO MUCH FUN celebrating with each and every one of you. But we weren’t the only ones who spent the morning mingling with new and expectant moms. More than 40 City Moms Blog Network sister sites hosted this very same event, with speakers and sponsors tailored to their area. (Check out #CMBNBloom16 to see photos from moms in other cities!)

One of our favorite parts of Bloom was learning about new local and national brands and sharing them with our RGV moms! Attendees had a chance to personally connect with each of our table sponsors and get a close-up view of all of our swag items that were up for giveaway.

During those three years of practice in Harlingen he and his wife fell in love with the Rio Grande Valley. Graciously, his wife and two children went back and finished another four years of training.

Renee K.
Hi. I’m Renee. Last year, I left my full-time job in New York, moved back home to Texas, bought a house, and popped out my first baby. Luckily, I did this all with my awesome husband and our totally bewildered cat. Now that we’re living in the RGV, I’m getting to know a whole new side of Texas— which I love. I also love my little girl, public libraries, fresh margaritas, adult conversation, and anything funny or satirical. (I used to love sleeping, but I think we all know that’s a lost cause.) When I’m not adjusting to life with a toddler, I'm working from home as a freelance copywriter. Oh, and downing copious amounts of iced coffee.
