Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch – Places to munch on around town

1

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE brunch! It’s the perfect meal – not too early, not too late and you can get a combination of breakfast or lunch foods at that magical time of day…and hey if you want a little champagne in your OJ nobody looks at you twice.

Brunch

My husband and I have lived here for going on seven years and it is so nice to see more brunch spots sprouting up around town. Our weekend brunch dates are quickly becoming a family tradition and our daughter seems to have fun stealing some of mommy’s pancakes before taking a bite out of daddy’s burger 😉

Now, some locations may be considered more family friendly than others, but really I have yet to come across a place that isn’t more than accommodating to little diners. Another upside…it gives our daughter a chance to practice her table and restaurant manners in public (just fyi – she’s two and we’re currently reading a whole series on manners so that gets her all sorts of excited). So here’s a list of places for you to chew on.

Happy brunching people 😉

Stephanie Cullum
Hey y’all! My name is Stephanie, a stay-at-home mommy, former teacher, Gemini, lover of books, quirky shoes, jeans (I own like twenty of them), coffee, travel and good food…oh and I’m also a wife and mother to my one and only daughter – she’s two and cute as a button! I’m half American and half German, born in Argentina, and grew up in Germany, Hong Kong and Singapore before moving to Dallas to go to college (go SMU). Needless to say I’m not a native to the Rio Grande Valley, but my husband is. He enticed me down here with the promise of good Mexican food, beaches, and close proximity to a foreign country – so here we are six years later and I couldn’t be happier calling the RGV home!
