There’s a new man in my life!

I am Will
Will-I-am!
I do not like
that Will-I-am!

Would you? Could you?
Ever believe?
How big I was,
When Mommy had me?

Now I will cry when Mommy refrains
from picking me up again and again.
And peacefully I’ll sleep while in the house
So long as my sister is quiet as a mouse.
I like to be nursed here and there.
I’m a Baby, I’ll take milk anywhere!

I do so like
my middle name!
Thank you!
Thank you,
Taite-I-am!

That’s William Taite. The newest (and final) addition to the Eggleston family. We call him by his middle name, since Dad is William too. So Taite it is.

He’s a bog boy, and now 6 weeks old. Yeah. It’s been a while. I’ve been chilling and cuddling under the covers with my babies for quite some time. I thought it was time I got back and formally introduced him to you all.

He was born December 2, 2012 a whopping 8 pounds 9 ounces. Uhhh, did you know I’m petite? I’m 5 feet tall (and I’m rounding up generously)!

Ouch is right! No, he was not a C-Section baby. Yes, it was brutal. But so worth it! He’s such a great baby. He’s still big as can be and already into some 3 month clothes. He’s growing way too fast and I am trying desperately to stop time, or at least stop to smell the poopy diapers roses because there will be no more teeny clothes, and the poopy diapers will soon start smelling, and he’ll be talking back sooner than I know it.

So I’m off again. Back to that baby fresh scent, that sweet sly smile and those adoring big eyes.

Vannessa Eggleston
Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Vannessa feels fortunate to call this place home. She married her high school sweetheart, Will, who also happens to be a Valley native. She's mom to three of the most charming monsters you'll ever meet (is that an oxymoron?). She has a quirky personality and an unhealthy obsession with all things Egg-related (she married for love and the last name happened to be one of the perks ;). She enjoys sweet tea, a good pun, designing, and quiet time. When she isn't wearing her Mommy and Wife hat, she's most likely sitting at her computer chronicling about the chaos that is her life as a work at home, stay at home momprenuer at In The Company of Mom.
