Marisol RTell us a little bit about you:

My name is Marisol, and I am originally from the tiny town of Donna. I celebrated my 30th birthday this past December, and never imagined my life as it is now. I had plans of attending law school and becoming an supreme court justice in the future. Real life, however, showed me that I needed to follow my heart and accept that my creativity could also take me places.

After college graduation, I put off attending law school to start my own photography business with intentions of still attending later. It has been 8 years, and I have never looked back. I work professionally as a photographer, with a current focus over the past few years on weddings. I met and married my own prince charming in 2012 and, to round out the year, our first baby was born earlier than her due date and made it out right before the new year. Thus, 2012 was a total game changer in my life!

My husband Joshua and I have been blessed with three beautiful children who are currently 3, 2 and 4 months old. I am a stay at home mom who also works from home, unless I am on location. It is rare that I am “not parenting” but when I do have some alone time, I enjoy an ice cold soda and wandering the aisles of my favorite stores. But even then, I am constantly thinking about my babies… ha!

Finish this sentence: “You’d never guess that I…”

…would be married to an amazing person and together have three amazing children.

Describe your ideal day.

My ideal day involves traveling through mountain ranges with my husband and three children. It is intimidating and exhilarating the same time. When we are together discovering the wonders of this world, it is perfect.

Name three must-haves and why.

My three must-haves are my iPhone, a coca-cola, and my little family. My iPhone is vital to how I work. I have been an avid iphone user since they first came out. Through its ease of use, I have been able to “work-on-the-go.” I don’t drink coffee, but I definitely “need” a coke to get through the day sometimes. I drink way too much soda and occasionally scale back. But I do enjoy drinking an ice cold cola very often! Finally, my little family is most certainly my most important must-have. My husband and I have been blessed with three amazing children and, together, the five of us are enjoying discovering what it means to be a family. I love them!

What do you miss most about life before kids?

I miss being carefree with what and when I ate.

In three words, what kind of mom are you?

I am adventurous, protective, and nurturing.

Anything else fun we should know?

I met my husband on a blind date after being set up by a mutual friend, and then we were married after 4 months of dating.
