Lactation Brownies

I am a few years past the nursing stage with my three little ones, but a mother does not forget what it is faeatured imaglike to be worried about her milk supply. It’s a feeling of fear like no other because you want to be able to provide for your sweet baby and it is all contingent on your milk supply.

A few months ago, this blog was posted and I had never heard of lactation cookies before. I made the decision to always make a batch for friends whenever one of them had a baby.

The key ingredient is BREWER’S YEAST. What is it? Brewer’s Yeast is considered a vitamin or supplement that is a by-product of brewing beer. For those nursing moms that enjoy the taste of beer, down a tall one and that works also.

Brewer’s Yeast can be used for diarrhea, acne, PMS, influenza, etc. For the purposes of new moms, it is considered to be a helpful ingredient in increasing the milk supply. I found it in a health store and it can be a little tough to find in a regular grocery store. Brewer’s Yeast goes a loooong way. It comes in a big tub and most recipes only call for a few tablespoons. So, I wanted to try out a new recipe with my large tub of Brewer’s Yeast to see what else I could make using it. Truthfully, I decided to make lactation brownies because brownies are my absolute favorite dessert.

Tonya
Hi friends! My name is Tonya- a Midwestern girl who became a Rio Grande Valley transplant three years ago. I spent seven years as a second grade teacher. After completing my Master's in Reading and Literacy, I became a reading specialist for three years. After moving to south Texas, I became a stay-at-home mom for the first time. I've been married for ten years and we have three kids ages 9, 6, and 2. I love online shopping, Netflix, and running but nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family. Moving to the valley was a huge change but constant sunshine and great Mexican food has made it well worth it!

  1. You are doing amazing work! Thanks for sharing your wonderful posts 👍. I started on just Lactation brownie and noticed minimal improvement in milk supply. So I started Domperidone (Motilium) 3x10mg three times a day. (So glad I found “DOMBF365” ❤️ in Google and get the reliable source) I got great results. Now I take domperidone and your tasty Lactation brownie. This is a great combination. Love your recipes!
